$18,945 raised through community donations and book sales
Thanks to the generous support of donors and readers, WorkWise Teen has raised $18,945 to fuel our mission. Every dollar goes directly back into creating resources, printing guidebooks, and expanding access to our free career readiness programs for students across Southern California.
So far, 627 students have participated in WorkWise Teen programming—each one gaining essential tools to navigate the world of work with confidence. From urban campuses to smaller community schools, we’re meeting teens where they are and helping them take their first steps toward success.
Our team has led in-person workshops or promoted to nine different high schools, creating interactive, hands-on experiences that go beyond the classroom. These workshops are designed to empower teens with practical skills like resume writing, job applications, and interview prep.
93% of students reported feeling more confident about job interviews after attending a session
After attending a WorkWise Teen session, 93% of students said they felt more confident walking into a job interview. That confidence boost is what we’re all about—turning nervous energy into readiness and real-world impact.
563 tote bags distributed with career kits, including books, shirts, notepads, and pens
To make sure students leave prepared, we’ve distributed 563 tote bags packed with everything they need to succeed: our two career guidebooks, a WorkWise Teen t-shirt, a notebook, pen, and more. It’s more than just swag—it’s a toolkit for building their future.
WorkWise Teen is proud to partner with Dreams to Business, founded by Kaitlyn Letien, to support teen career development. We're also grateful to our sponsors, 5 Star Vacation Rentals and Starlight Investments, for helping us grow our impact and provide free workshops and resources to students across Southern California.
